Stunning Antique French Green-Glazed Terracotta Jug. Mid to late 1800's.
Stunning antique glazed terracotta jug.
French from around the mid to late 1800's.
Beautiful green glaze to the top of the jug and handle; with rustic terracotta visible to the base.
These rustic pots were traditionally made in the Bordeaux region of France and were used for storing liquids such as water, wine or olive oil.
Today they make fabulous decorative display pieces in their own right but also are useful as vases etc.
The colour and patina are beyond handsome!
An authentic piece of French rustic charm in your home.
Personally sourced in the Dordogne region of France.
Approx. max. dims: H:280mm, Dia: 180mm
In excellent antique; as found condition. Some very slight loss to the glaze and chipping to the surface of the jug as one might expect but no damage or repairs.
A unique decorative piece.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
Please do study the photos and video as these form part of the description.
