Quite something these;
A pair of French dictionaries 'Nouvelle Dictionnaire Universal' by Maurice Lachatre.
French; written in French. Dated 1865.
The set consists of two large, leather-bound volumes; featuring gold-lettered spines with the title and alphabetical range (A-F, G-Z).
Thousands of pages and numerous woodcut illustrations throughout.
Stunning functional, decorative pieces.
Make great book ends!
Approx. max.dims: Each Book: H: 315mm, W: 260mm, D: 90mm
In excellent antique, as found condition. Solid spines. A few very minor scuffs perhaps as one might expect but no rips or tears. No signs of foxing.
Beautiful pieces.
These are original antiques and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
