French Antique Glazed Terracotta Jug. Early 19th Century.
Stunning antique glazed jug
French; early to mid 1800's.
Terracotta, with a deep vibrant green glaze.
These jugs; originating from Bordeaux were utilised to store wine or oil.
Superb patina developed over the centuries.
Beautifully proportioned displaying real charm and character.
Personally sourced from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France.
Approx. max. dims. H: 29cm, W: 20cm
In excellent antique; as found condition. Vibrant glaze; slight historical 'nibbling' to the top as shown but this only adds to the authenticity and history of this magnificent piece.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
