French Antique Glazed Terracotta Confit Pot. Circa 1800's.
Fabulous colour and texture to this lovely confit pot.
French from the mid to late 1800's.
Terracotta with a deep, rich brown glaze to the exterior; glazed internally.
Hand thrown with decorative rim and handles.
Very on-trend.
Once utilised to store and preserve foodstuffs such as meats, these beautiful pieces serve as wonderful decorative pieces in their own right.
Personally sourced from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France.
Approx. max. dims: H: 230mm, Dia.: 230mm
In excellent antique condition. Stunning pot, maybe a few very slight scuffs to the surface but no signs of damage or repair.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
