Fabulous Little French Enamel Laundry Rack. Circa 1900's.

Great little find this; not seen one before; love it!
So its an enamel laundry powder storage rack.
French from around the later 1880's / early 1900's.
Wall mounted there would be three enamel 'pots' for storing cleaning powder.
Unfortunately this set only has two, but certainly the extra space or indeed the whole rack could be repurposed as a plant holder, bathroom glass holder or similar.
The two pots that do exist read: 'Savon Mineral' and; faintly; 'Christaux', the missing one would be 'Savon Noir'. The pots do come up on eBay and Etsy occasionally.
'Tis very cool and a great decorative yet functional piece.
Sourced personally in the Bretagne region of France.

In excellent antique condition, a few chips to the enamel as you would expect and indeed desire and of course one pot is missing but this is still a glorious little piece of authentic French living.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
