A traditional; original terracotta walnut oil jug.
French from the 1700's.
An abundance of charm and character here.
Once adjourned with a green glaze; part of which is still evident; the warm earthy tones of the original terracotta delivers an eye catching; totally unique patina.
A truly authentic decorative piece; rare to source in this condition.
Sourced personally from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France.
Approx. max. dims: H; 31cm, W: 28cm
In superb antique; as found condition. A few small nibbles to the 'spout' but nothing really noteworthy, a very robust jug.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
