Antique French Folding Vendange or Wine Table. Circa 1930's

Beautiful example of an original vendange or vigneron table.
French, circa 1930's.
Made in a fruitwood, these fabulous tables are utilised in the vineyards of France for wine tasting or for the grape pickers to set up for lunch.
Folds flat as shown with a unique swivel base for stability.
Unusual example this, as they are traditionally circular but this fabulous piece is oval in shape; so more generous in size.
Devine patina developed over decades of use and exposure to sunshine, with historical splits and minor repairs to the surface; absolutely sublime!
Make a stunning kitchen / dining room table but also versatile as a spare table for larger gatherings!
Hand sourced from the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region  of France.
Approx. max.dims: H: 700mm, L: 1200mm, W: 880mm
In excellent antique; as found condition. Solid and robust, signs of sun bleaching and minor restorations to the surface, but these just add to the authenticity of this fabulous piece of traditional French living.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
