Antique French Earthenware Jug, Circa 19th Century.
A very traditional French provincial jug.
Originating in the 19th century.
Earthenware or stoneware as it is sometimes referred as; delivering a deep earthy glaze, with a warm rustic patina.
Two small 'loop' handles or 'ears' and small spout.
Traditionally used for storing and transporting liquids such as wine or olive oil.
Highly sought after these days by collectors and interior designers; for it's sculptural, decorative appeal.
Personally sourced in the Pays de la Loire region of France.
Approx. max. dims: H: 310mm, Dia: 240mmIn excellent antique, as found condition. No signs of damage or repair.
This is an original antique and may well show signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
